The Book of the Dead in 3D. Digital Analysis, Visualization and Dissemination of the Funerary Culture of Ancient Egypt

Since 2015, the Book of the Dead in 3D project has produced eighteen 3D models of previously unpublished ancient Egyptian coffins, which are kept in the storage rooms of the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology at UC Berkeley and in other Egyptological collections in California and in the US. These 3D models are currently available on the project’s website and on its Sketchfab page.

The Tomb of Menna (TT 69) – Virtual tours of an exquisitely painted New Kingdom private tomb at Sheikh Abd Al-Qurna

The 18th Dynasty tomb of Menna is one of the most beautiful painted tombs in the Theban necropolis of the Nobles in Luxor. Sketchfab models of three Ancient Egyptian Coffins at Harvard University

The three mummy cases at the Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East belong to three Egyptians employed in Temple of Amun-Re at Karnak: Pa-di-mut, a priest and metal engraver, Ankh-khonsu, a doorkeeper and Mut-iy-iy, a singer, all from Dynasty 22 (about 945–712 BC).
